Needs

Scripture:
Matthew6:31-34

It seems that whenever things start going well, financially, something always happens.  Recently I had to replace two tires on our minivan, it also needed an alignment.  To add to it I will soon need to replace the belts and have the transmission serviced, at least for now that is a deferred expense.  Adding to our financial woes we are in a position needing to finish our upstairs. Add to it all a major water leak to be fixed.

As the financial pressures build up I have someone to turn to.  Matthew 6:31-34:
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
God promises to provide for our needs as long as we trust in Him.  Whenever I look back in the past I see His hands at work.  Time and time again we have had our needs met.  We have always been able to pay the bills, have a home to live in, our cars kept in working order, food to eat.  If God provided for us even through our mistakes why would He leave us now?

He wouldn't leave us.  His promise it to give us our needs.  He may not give us our greatest desires and wants.  We may not live as the saying goes "High on the hog" but we have food, shelter, medical care.  No matter what happens in life I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that our needs will continue to be met.  God is faithful even if we aren't.  God will always keep His promises.  God will always be with us...

God Bless,
